“MINIMALISM IS NOT FOR THE LAZY”
The new Berto spring summer collection is inspired by Bauhaus. In 2019, Bauhaus will celebrate its centenary, so Berto decided to take inspiration from the principles on which Bauhaus is founded. Bauhaus was a German architecture, art and design school founded by Walter Gropius to match art and design with practicality. It embraced a fusion between fine arts, craftsmanship and technology from which beautiful and functional objects were born. This way of thinking changed the look of modernity.
This same philosophy gave birth to the collection, and as a result its sources of inspiration are geometrical shapes and primary colours, an emphasis on practicality and functionality, while maintaining simplicity and traditional images.
The SS20 collection is entitled “MINIMALISM IS NOT FOR THE LAZY” and is divided into Creative Practicality and Simplicity. The company will be presenting its collection next December 5th and 6th at Denim Première Vision in London.
Well-being, but with style.
Slow Hiking: mountain trekking replaced yoga.
People want to disconnect themselves from daily life so their souls can connect with nature.
Today, outdoor activities are posted to Instagram; for influencers, it’s better to show mountain peaks than fitness lessons.
New Formal: a “rebel tailoring”: young at heart; oversize styles, comfortable fibres, formal but easy shapes.
Prints and Stripes
If you’d like to see the new collection from Berto, join them on December 5th and 6th at The Old Truman Brewery.
