Calik Denim will be launching their A20W21 collection Eudemonia, underlining innovation’s growing impact on denim, in April 2019.
The company will be at Denim Première Vision in Milan next May 28-29 to talk about all their latest developments.
THE D-Clear technology
The most important feature of the new A20W21 collection is that Calik Denim will be unveiling its completely new approach to sustainability, by addressing sustainability from a broader perspective. The brand proudly announces that it has started adopting the D-Clear technology. Due to its unique technology, D-Clear uses 40% less water in indigo dyeing and 83% less water during the finishing process, thus reducing water consumption by over five litres per metre of fabric produced. In addition, the technology will also reduce the volume of chemicals used per metre of fabric, meaning a reduction of 94%.
D-Clear technology is currently used in 10% of the new collection. Calik Denim is committed to implementing D-Clear technology in up to 50% of its collections by 2020, 75% by 2023 and 100% by 2025.
Eudemonia: the A20W21 collection
Selfsized was initially launched in the SS20 season. The unique feature of Selfsized elicited general amazement: one single size jean can fit a wide range of different sized wearers perfectly due to its ultra-high elasticity and cotton for maximum comfort and softness.
This season, Selfsized fabrics have more options, including feminine and premium looks with a soft handle. In this collection, Calik Denim will be showcasing more authentic looking denim fabrics with salt & pepper effects and vintage washes. In addition, the Selfsized concept is a terrific option for the new season’s menswear, with a masculine look thanks to its slubby surface. All Selfsized denim has been developed with Calik Denim’s T-Power technology to eliminate elastane yarn slippage and also offers good wash effects. These jeans really are for everyone!
Another novelty in the new collection is Selfsized Boost, which has holding power with a soft touch.
In addition to all the features offered by the Selfsized concept, Selfsized Boost reduces size ranges, provides a more sculpted appearance and makes wearers look more fit.
Recently, the fashion industry has been seeing smooth-surface leather-look pants, especially for men. To meet this demand in the denim industry, Calik Denim has developed Colorart, first presented for the SS20 season. Colorart offers lightweight fabrics with high performance and a close-set texture, making the fabric the perfect choice for sportswear. In the new collection, Calik Denim will be launching this concept with a combination of a leather feel and a matt appearance, in a palette of black, burgundy and navy blue.
One of the Calik Denim’s pioneering technologies in the denim industry, Fly Jean, retains its importance for the fashion industry’s athlejean story.
Fly Jean creates a new chapter in the athlejean (athleisure + jean) story with the lightest ever fabric family, offering exceptional flexibility and creamy softness, making it perfect for athleisure wear. Jeans made with Fly Jean fabrics always retain their shape. The first-day shape lasts forever, meaning no baggy knees or seam slippage. This fabric family is also compact enough to fit inside an umbrella case.
The rapidly changing climate conditions affect the expectations of the end consumer; as well as being stylish, the efficiency of the technical features is now important.
Reffering to this demand, Calik Denim will be showcasing a brand new concept named Puff Up in A20W21 collection. With Puff Up, Calik’s aim is to provide comfort, soft handling and warm feeling inside the fabric as well as providing visual elegance and authentic look…
